Need Glass That Can Handle High Temperatures?

For applications exposed to elevated temperatures, standard glass may not provide the performance needed. Glasshopper Schor Glass offers heat-resistant glass and high-temperature glass options for demanding commercial and specialty uses.

Borosilicate, Ceramic & Fused Silica Glass

Glasshopper Schor Glass offers several high-temperature glass options based on the demands of the application. Borosilicate glass can withstand operating temperatures up to 900°F and is commonly used where heat and chemical resistance are important. Ceramic glass can withstand temperatures up to 1,200°F and offers high UV-blocking characteristics.

For more extreme conditions, fused silica glass can withstand operating temperatures up to 2,100°F and is suited for applications involving severe thermal shock or high UV transmission.

Fire-Rated & Impact-Safe Glass for Commercial Buildings

Fire-rated glass used in doors, sidelites, schools, athletic facilities, and other high-traffic areas may also need to meet impact-safety requirements. Glasshopper Schor Glass provides fire-rated glazing and safety glass options based on the required rating, location, and use of the opening.

Replace or Custom-Cut Specialty Glass

When specialty or technical glass is damaged or needs to fit a specific opening, Glasshopper Schor Glass can help with custom glass fabrication and commercial glass replacement. Our residential glass company works with the dimensions, application, and required glass type to provide properly sized replacement glass for the existing opening.
